It began six years ago by Kevork and Salpy Kalaidjian, a husband and wife team with the background to operate a small, high fashion line. Salpy started out in retail fashion as a dress buyer for Bullocks, gaining an extensive knowledge of the composition of a stylish product. Kevork started out as a last and heel model sculptor, and is an expert in the construction of a shoe. The duo works together to create new designs.

Today, Kevork is considered to be one of the finest in the industry. He occasionally gives lectures to students in the advanced footwear design program at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. His aptitude for the engineering of a shoe, combined with his artistic talent, has helped Salpy Shoes to offer something fresh and unique. Now he is introducing his new design, Salpy Men.
